Leave a legacy

An incredible gift to future generations

“The work of the Mindfulness Initiative would not be possible without the incredible financial input we receive from people who support our work. Whether you support us already, or would like to start, leaving a gift in your Will can help us continue to advocate for practices of heart and mind central to the values we hold as a society, and the way we relate to and care for ourselves, each other and the world in which we live. We are so immensely grateful for those who help us continue to make this impact for future generations.”

Jamie Bristow, Co-Director, The Mindfulness Initiative

What difference will my gift make?

Simply put, your gift will make a huge difference to the amount of policy and advocacy work we are able to do, and the number of people we are able to reach with it.

Advocating for mindfulness and compassion for the health and happiness of the world is a mission that goes beyond all of our lifetimes. Your gift will help us to continue to inform, inspire and advocate for the very real difference mindfulness can make to people’s lives.

Since 2015 the Mindfulness Initiative has:

  • acted as secretariat to the Mindfulness All Party Parliamentary Group, introducing politicians to a number of key thought-leaders in the world of mindfulness and contemplative practices
  • worked with international parliaments to support the establishment of mindfulness-based programmes for their politicians and staff
  • continued to build on the inaugural Mindful Nation UK report by producing clear evidence-based work on mindfulness in health, education, criminal justice and the workplace
  • written and advocated on the specific transformational impact practices of heart and mind can have on the global and societal issues requiring urgent attention and wise decision making.

To ensure that much-needed change continues far into the future, one of the most impactful contributions you can make to our work is to kindly remember us in your Will.

How do I leave a gift to the Mindfulness Initiative in my Will?

You just need to let your solicitor know that you would like to leave a gift to the Mindfulness Initiative when you are making or updating your Will – the process should be straightforward, and your solicitor will be able to talk you through it, including the different types of gift you can make.

You can change your mind about your gift in the future by letting your solicitor know.

If you are looking for a solicitor to help prepare your Will, you can go to https://solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk/ to find a solicitor in your area.

If you are leaving a gift to us in your Will, you will need to let your solicitor know our address and charity number: Mindfulness Initiative, c/o Creative Works, 7 Blackhorse Lane, London, E17 6DS (registered charity number 1179834 (England & Wales)).

Discussing your intentions with us

If you would like to discuss your intentions with us in more detail, or would like to let us know that you have left us a gift in your Will, please email [email protected] or [email protected]. That way we can ensure that we keep in touch with you about all the work that we are doing. There is no obligation to let us know of your intentions though – we recognise that the decision to leave a gift in your Will is a very personal one.

Finally, if you have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you so much for considering this special way of giving and supporting our future work.
