The resources on this page are intended to support employers with implementing mindfulness within their workplace, whatever stage they are on in their implementation journey.
In March 2022, The National Institute for Care and Excellence published guidelines on Mental wellbeing at work. As part of the evidence review, mindfulness came out very strongly as a programme to offer employees to help with managing their stress and overall wellbeing. NICE recommended that all employers, of whatever size, offer (or help employees access) mindfulness, yoga or meditation to employees on an ongoing basis.
Additionally, for employees who have or are at risk of poor mental health and want further support the guidelines recommend that employers offer or provide access to cognitive behavioural therapy sessions or mindfulness training or stress management training.
The Mindfulness Initiative welcomed the NICE guidelines and recommendations, and wanted to support this with resources that enable employers to provide effective and good-quality mindfulness training to their employees.
The Mindfulness Initiative has been supported by and worked with HSBC in producing the infographics available here. We are also delighted that these resources are being linked to within the CBI's Work Health Index, which aims to support organisations to benchmark their health offering in a continuous process to improve health and wellbeing.
All of these resources are provided to download and use free of charge. If you would like to support the Mindfulness Initiative in the work that it does, please consider making a donation here.
